Jibriel

*Artist Biography*

Born and raised on the Eastside of Detroit, Jibriel was destined for a life in music. Surrounded by a family of talented musicians, Jibriel was exposed to the industry from a young age. Jibriel's mother, Sherisse, played piano and produced beats, while Jibriel's father, Que, was a hip-hop artist, singer, songwriter, and producer.

Jibriel's musical journey began at age 10, learning piano from Jibriel's father. By 13, Jibriel was creating beats using Reason software, introduced by Jibriel's mother. As Jibriel grew older, Jibriel experimented with vocals and directed artists in studio sessions.

In 2019, Jibriel partnered with Mindvision Studios (Premier Music Group) to develop emerging artists. When the pandemic hit, Jibriel opened a home studio, leading to a collaboration with legendary producer Teddy Riley. Jibriel worked as a producer and engineer for Riley's studio while pursuing a solo career.

Currently, Jibriel is a member of the 5-piece group Az Yet. With a rich musical heritage and diverse skill set, Jibriel is poised for success in the music industry.
